What to Expect

Attending psychotherapy, especially for the first time, can feel like a daunting process. We understand it takes tremendous effort and courage to recognise you need help and to seek support. We try to make the process as comfortable as possible by greeting you with warmth, non-judgment and professionalism. We endeavour to be collaborative and transparent in our treatment as the best way to establish a safe and trusting relationship that supports healing. Please call or email to arrange a brief chat about what we can help with. If you feel we are a good fit, we can then book an initial appointment for assessment and treatment planning. We utilise Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT) to measure how treatment is progressing for you, as well as how our service is doing in helping you reach therapeutic goals.

Fees

Appointments are $280 per session and are 50 minutes in length. The Medicare rebate amount is $145.25 each session, so you will pay a gap fee of $134.75. You will need to see your GP for a mental health care plan and a referral for Medicare-funded sessions of up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Alternatively, if you have private health insurance, please check with your provider if they cover psychology.
